Improisation musician/composer
Sachiko M is avant-garde improvisation musician, who's known for her original performance style with test sinewaves from electric instruments. While performing at International music festivals and concerts around the world, she had taken part in more than 100 albums including solo.
Her recent works indicates the expansion of her field of work from music performance:
creating sound installation,
compiling photography book,
composition of a song,
publishing self biology,
choreography for Bon Odori among others.
Now she is director of Asian Sounds Research /Japan foundation Asia center, ENSEMBLES ASIA
was awarded
the Ars Electronica Golden Nica prize digital music category, 2003
"55th The Japan Record Awards" prize the Best Composition category, 2013
