Tetuzi Akiyama plays the guitar with primitive and practical implications by adding his own wishes to the instrument's characteristic nature in a minimal and straightforward way. He delicately and sometimes boldly controls the volume of sound from the micro to the macro level, and attempts to quantize his physical system. In recent years Akiyama is a frequent guest at international music festivals in Eastern and Western Europe, North and South America, Australia and New Zealand.
