Makoto Oshiro

Makoto Oshiro creates live performances using self-made devices or modified products to produce sound. He also presents installations focusing on light and sound interference. In recent years he has been active in The Great Triangle, his project with Takahiro Kawaguchi and Satoshi Yashiro. His releases include The Great Triangle (DECOY, 2013), unellion/variation (Enban, 2013), Phenomenal World (Hitorri, 2014), Airs (845 Audio, 2014) and Live at Ftarri (meenna, 2016). Major events and exhibitions include "The Great Triangle" (Baikado, Osaka, 2010), "Mono-beat Cinema" (NTT InterCommunication Center [ICC], Tokyo, 2010-2011), "Multipletap" (Cafe OTO, London, 2014), "Festival Bo:m" (Seoul Art Space Mullae, Seoul, 2014), "Strings" (space dike, Tokyo, 2014), "Nothing but Sounds" (ARTZONE, Kyoto, 2015), "F.Y.I" (Taipei Artist Village, 2016), and "Yo No Bi #2" (Islington Mill, Manchester, UK, 2017), as well as "From Blanks to Sensitivity" (Zuiun-an, Kyoto, 2018).
