Ftarri / Ftarri Festival 2019

Kiichi Tachikawa

Creator, performer. After meeting producer/artist Norimizu Ameya, Tachikawa performed and participated in Ameya's works and learned the foundations of creation. In 2013, he produced the play Gaichu ("harmful insect") in an old Japanese-style house in Tokyo. Since then he has been active (with occasional breaks) as a creator/performer who regards theatrical performances as phenomena. Tachikawa places importance on result-based reproducibility derived from the continuity and accumulation of improvisation in art. In 2018 he started the duo project minusculeshings, produced with Ami Yoshida. He frequently collaborates with creators including musicians ju sei, Tomoe Takizawa and Shuya Ohama (Kashikoi Ulysses), and graphic designer Shun Ishizuka. He has also participated in a work by photographer/producer Arata Mino and a concert by singer-songwriter Guru Paris.
